Teaching 6 - Go On Talking Jesus
Michael has studied the impact of a personal invitation and has spent 14 years asking Christians why we don't invite our friends to church. When did you last invite someone to church? Is there someone God is prompting you to invite? Although this is the end of the course, let's hold each other accountable over the coming weeks, as we look for God-given opportunities to invite friends or family members to church.
Is your church friend-proof? What could you and your church do to be more welcoming for first-time visitors? Let's get over the last time someone said 'No!' when we asked them to church or a church event. Our responsibility is to invite. The rest is up to God.
The power of God's Word changed Brian's life around. For Lizzie, love in action is having an impact with her colleagues. Yemi found that God had gone ahead of him when he had a conversation with a fellow plane passenger. What is God prompting you to say, do or pray?
Looking back over the course, be thankful that your story is part of God's story. Go on asking for opportunities to talk about Jesus, persevering in prayer for the people on your list. Remember Andrew's warning: don't force conversations. Let God's Holy Spirit do the work.
